A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of driving up to Orange County to meet with Sunny Ravanbach and Jane Chung of White Lilac Inc. We were speechless after looking at images of their past work, and meeting them in person was just as exciting! Sunny has been in the business for 15 years, and works with brides, corporate companies, and fashion houses (think classic companies like Louis Vuitton, Chopard, and Christian Dior!!) to create beautiful and memorable events.
White Lilac does full production, full floral design, and handles the logistics for their events. They specialize in creating events and designs for clients that are out-of-the-box, whether it means creating a custom design or searching the globe to find the perfect vintage piece! Each designer that works for White Lilac is a crucial and talented member of this full-service design team. We can’t wait to work with White Lilac in the future to create amazing and memorable events!

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of scheduling a meeting with Yogi Patel of Sheer Romance, based out of Orange, California. Yogi and his team have created a company that offers event planning, but specializes in amazing design and floral creations for weddings and events. We were blown away by images of his beautiful and intricate custom-made mandaps- perfect for both the traditional bride and groom or clients who want out-of-the-box designs! Yogi understands the Indian culture and language, and because of this, Sheer Romance specializes in Indian weddings. They specialize in making their own creations, like the gorgeous images of Indian mandaps below!
Although they work mainly out of Orange County and Los Angeles, Sheer Romance does travel to San Diego, which is great news for our local San Diegan clients! Check out the Sheer Romance website for more information and a more detailed portfolio of work. We can’t wait to work with Yogi and his team on our upcoming weddings!

Consultations with new vendors can be a daunting task, even for the most organized and prepared couple. To help our couples with these sometimes overwhelming appointments, we are going to give you a few must-ask questions for meeting with potential vendors, focusing on a different vendor each week. This week, we will be giving tips on questions to ask your baker when first meeting with them.
* Make sure to take inspiration boards, color swatches, and/or table linens
* Will cake stands be provided, or is this an additional cost?
* How far in advance are the cakes baked, and how is it kept fresh until the wedding date
Although this is just the start of a good list of questions to ask when meeting a prospective baker, make sure you also find someone who truly understands the tone you want to set for you wedding- as well as a yummy and satisfying dessert, of course!
Every now and then we’ll get emails from brides asking for a vendor referral for invitations, and we always love to recommend and highlight vendors that we’ve worked with. This time, we’re going to highlight Pink Star Design! The owner of Pink Star Design, a San Diego based business, is Jenn Stuart Ragusa, and she is awesome to work with. Pink Star Design has been featured in magazines, and won awards for their printing, design, and calligraphy services.
We “stole” some images of Jenn and her Pink Star Design team’s work to give you a tidbit of how talented they are. They do wonderful menus, invitations, stationary, and much more. Let us know if you did decide to hire Pink Star Design because we do love patting ourselves on the back haha!
